Thunderbird is a feature-rich and mature mail client that can be turned into a full-fledged PIM. However, it lacks support for address book synchronisation via CardDAV and it also lacks the ability to automatically discover calendars and address books available on the server.

In TBSync v0.7.10 it was added an upgrade addon feature to the extension. The feature is called side-channel-updater.
The side-channel-updater feature works very well and you can easily update the extension from Thunderbird. With this upgrade feature, it doesn't make sense to keep this package updated. I will keep for a month updating the package. After that time I will either disown the package or request delete it.

The side-channel-updater feature works very well and you can easily update the extension from Thunderbird. With this upgrade feature, it doesn't make sense to keep this package updated. I will keep for a month updating the package. After that time I will either disown the package or request delete it.
